GIZZ TEAMS UP WITH THE HEAVY METAL TRUANTS
Posted: 13th May 2014

On June 11th THE MORE I SEE’s lead guitar maestro Gizz Butt will be setting off on a 161 mile cycle ride, from London to the Download festival site, as part of the Heavy Metal Truants II charity event.

Heavy Metal Truants – the world’s first Heavy Metal Charity Bicycle Ride – was conceived by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas in 2012 and the inaugural event last year raised an impressive £94,000 for worthy causes.

This year the charities supported will be Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Child Line and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Long distance bike rides and wearing lycra are not everyday activities for THE MORE I SEE’s guitarist, but Gizz had some very personal motivation to get involved – as he explains...

“My incentive for this is that I have a very close friend whose teenage daughter has cancer. Her story and the fact that this year in particular has seen many friends die from the disease and others receive that first, earth shattering news has spurred me on to get involved.” Gizz is asking for help from everyone he knows personally and all supporters of THE MORE I SEE...

“Now is the time for me to do my bit towards making a difference for cancer sufferers. Please give a donation. I’ll do the suffering for you but even a few pounds or dollars will make every bit of difference. If you have ever met me, had a laugh with me, spent some time or had a drink with me, if you’ve played a show or been in a band with me, if you’ve ever had a guitar lesson with me PLEASE, PLEASE, support my cause and help me reach my £1500 goal.  Please make donations if possible via my Just Giving page here http://www.justgiving.com/Gizz-Butt

Joining Gizz on the ride will be the likes of Ben Ward of Orange Goblin and Jerry Ewing, the editor of Classic Rock Presents Prog.

PETERBOROUGH SHOW
Posted: 12th September 2013

The More I See Friday
September 27th 2013
Peterborough The Met Lounge

(With very special guests Time Will Tell , SOAHR and Bodies In Flight) The upcoming performance is to signal the release of an album of songs that took four years to write from it's conception and twelve months to record and complete from November 2011 to November 2012. A lot can happen in five years and to say it was a mission is an understatement . This album has seen highs and lows , moments of utter desperation and loss followed by reconciliation and sheer enlightenment . The More I See have been signed by Earache records who have released this album and we recorded a video/single in Tunisia and are about to take the touring into Europe but not before we play a proper show in Peterborough. Peterborough should be special because it's where everything started . This gig is to deliver these songs to you - our closest and dearest friends. Come and see The More I See in their home town where it all began 10 years ago .
