THE MORE I SEE was formed in late 2002 by original member Gizz Butt who, after a 4 year stint in THE PRODIGY, briefly reformed his 80's Punk-Metal outfit ENGLISH DOGS for
a USA tour and realised it was time to get back to his thrash metal roots.
The band experimented with tunings and toured Europe regularly which led to the formation in their sound. Thrash Metal in a drop C tuning gave rise to a modern Thrash metal style. Their first album "THE WOLVES ARE HUNGRY" in 2004 was released on the ill fated SPV records. The band were later signed by UK independent label TRANSCEND records and released their 2nd album "THE UNHOLY FEAST" in 2007.  Over the next 3 years they went through various lineup changes, playing gigs with EXODUS and BREED 77 and the HELLFIRE FESTIVALS (With SABBAT, OVERKILL and FIREWIND) and tours (with WARRIOR SOUL). METAL HAMMER comments: "Gizz has gone back to this explosive mix of Punk aggression, Thrash Metal and technical Metal ability for The More I See."  This year, 2010, will see the release of their 3rd album "TREAD THE DARK PATH" debuting the vast talent and youth of new band members Peter Ellis (24) on vocals , James Cluer (19) on 2nd guitar , Drew Markwick (18) on bass and Harri Wright on drums who is only 16 years old with an incredible flair. Peter’s vocal ability is unsurpassed in the UK and his performance on the new album is so exceptional The More I See will definitely stand from the crowd.  "We're ready now, we have the thrash metal militia we've always been looking for and we're gonna embrace the live scene to show just what we’ve got. This is it!"  Amazingly, the band already has another album up their sleeves.... so watch this space! |
